Main Street Fest

Mt Airy -- Main Street is packed on this sunny afternoon with festivities and food. A rock band on one corner. Another fellow sings early 50s songs before rock and roll and a man and a woman pick up the swing beat and dance in the street. I think of how little has really changed through the ages as folk have gathered in the spring in towns to celebrate another winter's passing and nature's turn to fair weather with the promise of fun.
