Faces on the Wall

McCutcheon's plant building wall now features portraits of famous folks of the area: to include my kinsman Charles Carroll of Carrollton. They even have a politically incorrect portrait of a Confederate General before his Rebel Battle Flag (Maupin?). Good for McCutcheon's. Their preserves, by the way, are wonderful.

Dancing Bear

Another fine example of carved art for advertisement in this image of a dancing bear. He stands before a fully mechanical toy store on Market Street: Dancing Bear Toys. I couldn't get away from the thought of the Grateful Dead and wonder of the entrepreneur who stated this store was a fan

The Winter that Wasn't

The first day of February and it seems like May. Lots of folk are out in Baker Park enjoying the Global Warming here in Frederick -- like the father and daughter who are flying this kite with the bell tower in the background.
