Z3 4 Z - Anniversary

Happy Anniversary to my wife. We always admired the BMW Z3 roadster, and now we will be able to enjoy it. It is like new. This is her third British Racing Green roadster (Healy and MGB before) Photo is of her first ride with the dealer in Ohio, just before purchase.

This is my dog, Bailey, making a fine pose upon the big rock at the Middle Creek Battlefield. We had just made the tour through the wet grass below; hence her wet legs. This was actually taken in about June.

Little Red Bridge

I always have enjoyed this red bridge as a subject and in the morning's wet snow it stands out!  The rail, tree, and bench make an interesting arrangement from this angle  -- shot squatting

Winter Wonderland

About five weeks ago I stood in this spot and recorded a pretty fall scene. Today on my birthday I got the this treat.  I ended my post then as I do now:

The morning sun lighted the pretty fall colors -- reflecting them in the calm surface of the lake. Set with the blue sky and fluffy white clonds it made this scene as "Pretty as a Picture"

HZ Residence on 100 East Third

The initials H and Z are on the shale shingles of this old building. A mystery but likely the original owners. This Victorian was built probably around 1890 based on the dates of neighboring properties. The lot next is not occupied and next to that is the old Quinn Chapel it is now called "Georgetown apartments" On occasion I have stopped to photograph resident -- like this old fellow who stopped to rest on the porch

View of Greenbrier Lake. Hiked 2.2 miles from US 40 on the AT. Chatted with a fellow tying a rope for a belay anchor and his climb and reflected on Morning Prayer

Spring Bunny

I met this little fellow along the trail walk from Shifferstadt Hause to the Fairvirew Bridge along Carroll Creek. He froze about 10' from me in the open. I expect he figured he was invisible. So we watched one another while I took his picture, edited it to crop it, and wrote this musing. Freezing, must be an innate defense mechanism against predators, and this little fellow is practicing. Finally, two step toward him prompted him into tall grass a foot away.

Spring Pods Opening

While approaching a grand old tree in the park I noted some large object floating down and then observed that the walk was littered with the delightful cotton like objects. The underside has hundreds of small pods that have opened and seeds to begin a new life
